About this lot
The violet artichoke is characterized by a cylindrical shape and by the presence of short thorns. The name derives from the colour of the leaves that degrades from the soft violet of the base to a dark green near the thorns. It has a classic, sweet taste with a bitter aftertaste, harvested from November to May after planting between July and August.
