Cookie Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Agriexchange.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what categories we use, and how you can manage your choices.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owner. We also use similar technologies such as browser localStorage and sessionStorage — this policy covers all of them under the label "cookies".

2. Categories We Use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function. These cannot be switched off. They keep you signed in, remember your consent choices, protect the site against abuse, and enable core features like checkout.

  • Authentication session (Supabase auth token)
  • CSRF and security cookies
  • Cookie-consent preference itself
  • Load-balancing / routing cookies from our hosting provider

Functional

Remember choices you make to give you a better experience.

  • Theme preference (light / dark)
  • Filter and view settings on the marketplace
  • Locale and currency preferences

Analytics

Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These are only set if you accept them.

  • Aggregated page-view and feature-usage metrics
  • Session error and performance monitoring

Marketing

Used to measure the performance of promotions and, where relevant, serve advertising. These are only set if you accept them.

  • Ad-attribution cookies
  • Conversion tracking

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by service providers we use to operate the platform:

  • Stripe — for payment processing and fraud prevention on the checkout pages.
  • Supabase — for authentication and secure API access.
  • Our hosting provider — for routing, caching and security.

These providers set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.

4. Managing Your Preferences

You can manage cookies in three ways:

  • On-site banner — the first time you visit, you can choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences.
  • Reset your choice — clear the agriex_cookie_consent item from your browser storage and reload the page to see the banner again.
  • Browser settings — you can block or delete cookies through your browser. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features.

5. How Long Cookies Last

Two lifetimes are used:

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — stay for a fixed period (typically up to 12 months) or until you delete them.

Your cookie-consent choice itself is stored for up to 12 months so we don't ask you again on every visit.
