Apples prices — FAQs
- What is today's apples price per ton?
- The index averages 21 live, seller-confirmed apples lots at $1,419.90 per ton, ranging from $500.00 to $4,300.00 per ton. Unconfirmed archive listings and prices under review are excluded.
- How are apples prices on AgriExchange calculated?
- These are seller asking prices, not a settled exchange price. One validation rule applies everywhere: a price only enters the index when the lot is live (the seller confirmed availability in the last 45 days) and the figure passed plausibility checks. Unconfirmed imported listings and prices under review are excluded from the average, high, low and charts. Prices exclude freight, duties and insurance unless a lot's incoterms say otherwise.
- Why do apples prices vary between lots?
- Grade, harvest year, moisture, packaging, certifications, origin, order volume and delivery terms all move the price. Compare lots side by side on the product page before requesting a quote.
- Can I get alerts when apples prices drop?
- Yes. Save a search from the marketplace with your product and price ceiling and AgriExchange will notify you when a matching lot is listed or when a watched lot drops in price.
